Hello all, I have been looking at tractors lately in preparation for a purchase in the spring. I have come across Farm Pro. I would like to hear from owners of these tractors, particularly the 30hp 4wd model. The price almost seems too good to be true. Thanks in advance for any input on this subject. Happy Holidays and Happy Tractoring.

Well I believe its just a jinma,so don't limit your self to farmpro, other dealers sell the same tractor, well the same basic tractor, there are differences, you can order them from the factory with this instead of that, cheap instead of top of the line, and how they are put together means a lot,get one from a dealer who has been in bussiness a few years,[anyways],and who will stay in business a few more, who will offer you a parts and labor warrenty when buying, etc.Get on Johns tractor, its a web page, maybe johns jinma tractor, something like that,he has got a list of dealers,I believe his address is on this board under the survey question. I own a Nortrac 204C it is a 3 cyl 20HP 4x4 and I love it. It has plenty of power for me to haul wood and (7')plow snow(300'driveway in the Northeast NY) Don't rule them out or any Jinma. There are plenty of parts and dealers across US and Canada. I'll buy again. ....

I have a 20hp two wheel drive, and find it simple, and practical. So far I'm still recommending them. ....

I have a Jinma 284 and so far like it a lot. The general consensus is if you're willing to turn a wrench once in a while you will be OK. There are plenty of people willing to help if you do have problems. I looked around a lot and for me the savings will more than compensate if I do need to repair something. As Richard said Jinmas are sold under many different names. John's website is johnstractor.com.

We are a Jinma dealer in North MS. The Jinma tractors are sold under many different brands such as Agracat, Nortrac,Emerybuilt,Farm Boss, Ironhorse and many others. There are several dealers across the country and parts are available. We carry parts for our Jinma tractors and are continually adding more. We feel like the Jinma has the most bang for your buck than any tractor on the market.

I purchased a Farm Pro 2425 in July, 03, and have had numerous problems - mainly hydraulic leaks. I am having a serious hydraulic leak at the loader control unit that I can't fix. Currently the tractor has been down for 2 weeks waiting for rubber hose for the coolant system. (only 60 hrs on the machine) Customer service is very poor!

All the hoses,[for raditiator],can be bought at about any auto store, now I havn't had to buy any yet,but was told by many. The top hose is napa#777,bottom ff233, little hose 9807 5/8 i.d.,I believe these numbers are for a 254,but you should be able to match one at a good store when you bring your old one in.Who you buy your tractor off of makes a big difference, for instance,if I need a question like this answered,I just call northern, they tell me,they will send it to you free of course if its under warrenty,if not they will sell it to you, they have a lot of stuff in stock, but on something like this, its probably a lot quicker to go to the store and buy one. Hi John. The leak at your loader control is most likely an o-ring. I would change that first. Also, the machining on the Chinese threads sometimes is poor, thus the leaks on the hydraulic connections. I had the same problem with the leaks. I was advised to use teflon pipe dope, Indian head gasket sealant, and a number of other things. I tried them to no avail. When I had some hoses made at a hydraulic shop in Tucson, they advised me to use Loctite 545 Thread Sealant. It costs about $30.00 for about 1.69 ounces, but it does work. You need to let it set for 24 hours and it can be bought at Grainger Industrial Supply. If you can't find an industrial supply store, try searching on the Internet. Good luck and don't give up.
